In 2001, over 300 young people attended the National Conference of Young People in Perth. By the end of the conference the group had created a Vision for Australia through the creation of a declaration and several recommendations for each of the six categories determined as the most important to young people at the time.

The purpose of imagineOz is to realise the implementation of both the declaration and recommendations throughout Australia.
